ALL NEW Anesthesia BootCamp

The Anesthesia BootCamp is ideally suited for doctor / technician teams, but is also great for individuals.

Day 1

Day 1 is a full didactic day of anesthesia concepts from A to Z.  The day starts with a discussion of oxygen delivery to the tissues, which is emphasized throughout all discussions.  The day’s discussion continues with all common and sometimes less common drugs, plus all new and emerging drugs. Anesthesia monitoring is covered in detail to include blood pressure, pulse oximetry and capnography.  Methods of treating adverse events are covered.  Case discussions along the way are included.

Participants will receive a full set of notes and a copy of the Handbook of Veterinary Anesthesia.

Participants will be asked in advance to submit particular areas of interest for Dr. Gaynor to include in the syllabus along with cases to discuss.

Day 2

Day 2 is made up of two components, a morning discussing ECG analysis and cutting edge gas anesthesia concepts followed by an afternoon  covering advanced anesthesia topics including the geriatric patient, patients with liver and kidney disease and the hemodynamic approach to the patient with cardiac disease.

Participants will receive a full set of notes and a copy of the Handbook of Veterinary Anesthesia.

Participants will be asked in advance to submit particular areas of interest for Dr. Gaynor to include in the syllabus along with cases to discuss.
